Zena Armstrong
Cultural Advisor | Executive Producer | Strategic Storyteller

Zena Armstrong brings a rare depth of experience to the creative industries—blending cultural insight, artistic sensibility, and strategic leadership to ensure every story is told with authenticity, integrity, and impact. As Cultural Advisor and Executive Producer at Crewcible Studio, Zena plays a key role in shaping narratives that reflect the complexity of real-world experiences while resonating with diverse audiences.

Zena’s professional journey spans international diplomacy, festival leadership, and creative production. A former senior Australian diplomat, she served in pivotal roles including Consul-General in Guangzhou and Special Advisor on Whaling, and held executive-level positions at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). These roles sharpened her expertise in negotiation, cultural intelligence, and cross-border collaboration.

After a distinguished diplomatic career, Zena turned her focus to the arts—curating and directing community-driven festivals, including the Cobargo Folk Festival, and bringing together artists, musicians, and storytellers in shared celebration of culture and connection.

At Crewcible Studio, Zena ensures that the stories we tell are not only creatively compelling but culturally respectful and socially relevant. She works closely with clients, creatives, and communities to guide narrative development, support inclusive collaboration, and uphold cultural integrity at every stage of production.

Zena’s unique ability to bridge worlds—government and grassroots, strategy and creativity—makes her an invaluable partner for organisations seeking to communicate meaningfully across cultures, sectors, and mediums.
